Often referred to as “the HEART of hospice,” HBV volunteers give their time to provide comfort and support as a part of the hospice care team. Our volunteers enjoy using their unique gifts to bring smiles to both patients and families.
Annual Drive 2025
Hospice Brazos Valley is the only non-profit hospice serving 17 counties across the Brazos Valley. Every day, our compassionate team of nurses, healthcare aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and support staff provide comfort and care to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses.
The cost of care for one patient averages $189 per day, yet the average reimbursement is only $166. In 2024, we provided more than 76,000 days of care—including an estimated $250,000 of unfunded care.

Your gift is tax deductible to the extent permitted by the Internal Revenue Code. Hospice will respect your wish for anonymity and, if requested, the amount of your gift will be kept confidential.
