HBV places a high value on patient care. Therefore, our average expense per patient care day exceeds the average reimbursement from Medicare & Medicaid. Your support fills the gap and ensures the best hospice care is available to all, regardless of ability to pay.
Grateful families of hospice patients often ask how to thank us for the care provided to their loved one. Honor their memory and express gratitude by making a donation which ensures that the same compassionate care your loved one experienced is available to everyone.
Often referred to as “the HEART of hospice,” HBV volunteers give their time to provide comfort and support as a part of the hospice care team. Our volunteers enjoy using their unique gifts to bring smiles to both patients and families.
Hospice Brazos Valley is the only non-profit hospice serving 17 counties across the Brazos Valley. Every day, our compassionate team of nurses, healthcare aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and support staff provide comfort and care to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses.
The cost of care for one patient averages $189 per day, yet the average reimbursement is only $166. In 2024, we provided more than 76,000 days of care—including an estimated $250,000 of unfunded care.
Your donation helps bridge that gap, ensuring every patient receives the care they deserve, regardless of their ability to pay.
